Russia has recently started banning multiple U.S. tech companies websites, the list of blocked websites include X/Twitter, a few Meta companies and only a few months ago, Youtube has also been blocked from the country. A Russian news agency just shared the following statement:

"The access to the Discord is being restricted in connection of violation of requirements of Russian laws, compliance with which is required to prevent the use of the messenger for terrorist and extremist services, recruitment of citizens to commit them, for drug sales, and in connection with unlawful information posting,"

Here is a list of all blocked domains according to Twitter user Enderman.

This is a huge blow for the company as there were around 40 million monthy Discord users in Russia or around 4.4% of Discord's total users (according to worldpopulationreview.com).

Discord has yet to issue a statement about the ban.
